Now it’s time for my top 5 makeup products of 2021. Even though I didn’t use so much makeup in 2021, I still used more than in 2020, and I hope that I will get to wear even more in 2022, but you never know with the world we are living in right now.
Rare beauty stay vulnerable liquid eyeshadow
One of the brands that has really impressed me in 2021, is Rare Beauty. I think Selena Gomez has done an amazing job with this brand. It feels fresh, even with there coming so many new brands into the market all the time. But one of the products that has really impressed me is their liquid eyeshadows. I own the colours Nearly Neutral and Nearly Apricot, and I love them both. They are so easy to work with and they look really good on the eyes, and they last all day long. It’s a really good product. They don’t contain any shimmer. It’s a really great product.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Opal
I know that Becca as a brand didn’t have a good 2021, but I also know that their highlighters will live on, with another brand, and that is why I want to mention this highlighter. I have two highlighters from Becca, but Moonstone is the one I normally reach for, but since nothing has been normal since March 2020, so this year I have really loved how Opal looked on my skin. It’s a good highlighter, which I think you all already knew.
Tarte – Tartellette Flirt
This palette contains 6 eyeshadows. Two shimmers and four mattes. That’s it. They are all neutral colours, and it’s not the most interesting palette, BUT the looks you can make with it, are so beautiful. You can amp it up, and you can make it look like no makeup. It leans warm and cool. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s just perfect. I have seen that Tarte has released more palettes like this, with different colours of course, and I just want to own them all, because this one is SO good!
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter #2
I have talked about this product before and how there is still product in the bottle is unbelievable. I use this product everytime I do my makeup. That might not be a lot these last two years, but like I use it a lot. I love this product especially if you have dry skin. It just helps with making the foundation looking more like skin, and I really love that. I know some people think it’s a foundation, but it’s not, it does however look beautiful by itself on the skin.
Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Blush & Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
I decided to place these two together even though they are two different products. But another product from Rare Beauty that I have been enjoying is their blushes. Both the Melting and liquid. They are both easy to apply, the melting is a bit easier to control, then the Soft Pinch, since the soft inch is really pigmented. So less is more, and you can build it up, so don’t start too heavy handed.
