So how are things going with my no buy of bronzers, blushes and highlighters? Honestly, it’s going good.

Is it harder than I thought it would be? Yes! I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not going to buy any of these products and there have been multiple times where I picked up a highlighter or thought about buying a blush, but then remembered that I’m not supposed to do that. Which made it really easy to place the product back on the shelve and walk away. Have I been missing new products?  Not really, because I could still use a new product everyday, for a month because I have too many products to choose from, and when I get through them, I simply start over and don’t notice and I haven’t gotten bored with anything yet, which is quite nice. But I’m pretty sure this no buy thing has made me buy more skincare products than I normally do? Or maybe it’s because my skin just sucks right now, I don’t know. But I have noticed an increase in my love for skincare products lately, so on that front it hasn’t really helped. But I can proudly say that I haven’t bought a bronzer, blush or a highlighter since I started this no buy…..absolutely nothing and I’m really proud of that.

I actually think it’s a really good thing to do, because it keeps reminding me that I don’t need that new highlighter, because I have enough at home, and because it probably looks like the ones I have at home. So I will continue this journey, of not buying highlights, bronzers, and blushes, for the rest of the year, because it’s working really well for me, and maybe start concentrating on other areas, as skincare, so I can get my expenses down even more. 

But I think this is a really good way to use the stuff that you already have and maybe even have a chance to get through the things that I already own. Another thing is, if I hadn’t made this challenge for myself, I would have bought products that I didn’t really need. So I honestly like this challenge and would totally recommend doing it.
