Rare Beauty came out with their Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer Foundation in July 2021. Now at this point in time I had tried out their Weightless Foundation, and I have mentioned it right here! I wasn’t the biggest fan, because the color wasn’t quite right for me.
I do want to say, that it’s all my fault, but I SUCK at picking the right color for myself in the Rare Beauty range. It might be that she makes colors for the pale girls, and I keep on forgetting that. Because I actually need to move further up the range than I think I do. Why am I telling you this? Because it also happened with their Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer Foundation. However, this one is not as bad as the Weightless Foundation one. But I do want to say that I have to mix in a drop of a darker color to make it match my face. Just so you are aware.
Color Range
Now that we are talking about the shade range, the collection has 24 shades when you look at Rarebeauty.com, but when you look at the Danish Sephora page it has 31 shades to pick from and in the text, it says 32. So let’s say there are between 24 – 32 shades?
How does it look on the skin?
It has a very light coverage, a bit less than the Fenty Eaze drop-blurring skin tint, which is a product that reminds me a bit of, and I love that product from Fenty. So if you want full coverage then this is not the product for you. It has a light texture and is easy to blend into the skin. I mostly just use my fingers to blend it into my skin, and it is SO easy and it looks beautiful. The finish is a light dewy and glowly look.
Some of the ingredients are hyaluronic acid, which helps to hydrate and plump the skin. It also contains lotus, which provides antioxidant benefits. It is also free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. It is a really nice product to use on dry skin. I do think it last fairly nicely on the skin throughout the day.
The packaging is lovely. I love the Squezz bottle, it is very easy to control the amount of product that you get out of the bottle.
I really really like this product. The Fenty Eaze drops however hovers right about it with a tiny tini bit. The one from Fenty matches me perfectly so if I did get my hands on the perfect shade in the Rare Beauty one then they might be equal because they are so close!
But it is a beautiful product and I will buy it again. I think that it will be a perfect product for summer as well!
You can buy it here (danish store) for 279 kr or here (US store) for $30
