Let’s talk about a cleanser from Cosrx!
Now you might have heard about the brand Cosrx before. It is a Korean skincare brand that is very known for its snail essence. I will come out and say straight away that my skin does not like all these Snails products, but Cosrx does have a lot of other products to try out.
The Good Morning Cleanser is designed to be a gentle and low-pH cleanser suitable for daily use. Now when I bought this I did not think that it contained tea tree oil, but it does. Now tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and gentle exfoliants like betaine salicylate and citric acid.
The low pH formula helps to maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier, which is important for maintaining healthy skin.
I have combination skin, but it does lean more toward the dry side of things. Therefore had I known that it contained tea tree oil, I would not have bought it. It didn’t stand out as an ingredient when I bought it, but I felt it straight away after using it. At first, I thought I was crazy for thinking there was tea tree oil in it, but I looked it up, and there it was.
So after having used it every day, feeling my skin becoming dryer, and then discovering it contained tea tree oil. I stopped using it every day. My skin didn’t handle it very well.
Now the texture is gel-like, but it’s like they put too much gelatine in it, if that makes sense to my bakers out there. The texture is very gel-like and you have to work it into your hands before being able to use it, otherwise, it goes straight into the sink.
As you can here I won’t be buying this cleanser again, but if you have acne-prone skin, this might be a perfect match for you. Because I don’t think it will be too harsh for a skin type like that. However, if you have a compromised skin barrier or very sensitive skin, then I would stay away from this one.
Overall, if you have normal to oily skin and are looking for a gentle, effective daily cleanser, Cosrx Good Morning Cleanser is definitely worth considering. If you are a dry and sensitive gal then this isn’t for you.
