So, I have been really excited to share this post. Makeup remover is a difficult thing sometimes, at least for me! I have found a few makeup removers that I really like, but there is really far between them, and none of them really stick with me. The Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil is still one of my favorites, but it’s a bit difficult to get your hands on here in Denmark. I have been searching and had my eyes on this makeup remover for a while, so I was really excited when I finally got my hands on it!
I might as well just come right out and say it, I freaking love this product! I think that Origins have done a fantastic job with this one. Firstly, the packaging is quite nice. I love the pink and white together, and it is easy to squeeze the product out of the tube!
If you have not figured it out from the name, this makeup remover is a jelly consistency, which I really like. Compared to balms and oils, this does not create a mess of any kind which is yet another thing I adore about this product. It is such an easy product to work with and it is easy to apply to the face.
I apply it on dry skin and gently massage it into my skin. If I know my mascara is a bit stubborn or I’m wearing a lot of eye makeup, I like to apply it there first and then let it sit while I apply it to the rest of my face. Then I apply a bit of water to wash it off. I am currently using a mascara from Hourglass and it is a bit trickier to get off than what I am used to, but this product dissolves it. Though sometimes I find that the mascara then lingers on my skin. Luckily one swipe with a cotton pad, and it is gone! Other mascaras just come right off without lingering on my skin.
The product is not scented, which is another thing I like about it. I do not know what it is about the consistency, but I really enjoy it. It does not dry out the skin, and it does not make it greasy; it is kinda perfect! After using this product, I always use a facial cleanser to make sure my face is completely clean. I find that it removes makeup really well and it has not made me break out at all, yet another bonus. Basically it does what the cleansing balm do, but I just like this texture better, since it’s a lot easier to work with, and not as messy as a balm sometimes can be.
